Mycology in the mine

Mycology in the mine

11th July

Special guided tour with Claudio Rossi and Armin Torggler

This special guided tour leads into the innermost sections of the Poschhaus gallery and to the ore vein of the Schneeberg mine, where mysterious fungi and other remarkable life forms in the complete darkness underground take centre stage. In cooperation with the South Tyrol Museum of Nature, participants will gain fascinating insights into the world of mycology in the mine and learn about the conditions that allow the fungi to develop in the damp, dark environment. One meeting point is in Ridnaun, from where a bus will take the group to the Poschhaus gallery; a second group will start from the bridge "Schneeberger Brücke" in Passeier and enter through the Karl gallery.
