What you need to know for your visit in Ridnaun
For your visit, you need a Corona Pass.
Keep a distance of at least one metre from all people who don't live in your household.
During your visit, please wear a FFP2 face mask that covers mouth and nose. For children >6 years this is only recommended.
Follow the staff's instructions and look out for signs and markings on the floor.
Please avoid crowds and only entre a designated area when it is free.
Please wash your hands regularly with soap for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the restroom. Sanitize your hands with the disinfectant gel available on site.
Please avoid touching your face, especially mouth, nose and eyes. Use a disposable tissue when coughing or sneezing and dispose of it immediately.
Avoid contact with surfaces that are also touched by other people.
Dogs in the Museum: Dogs may join the “Mining Compact” guided tour provided they are not afraid of the dark or of machinery noise.
Barrier-free Access: The permanent exhibition and the “Mining Compact” guided tour are barrier-free. The Museum area in Maiern is easily accessible for those with wheelchairs, pushchairs or walking frames.

clothing: Warm jacket necessary
By car: From the A22 autobahn take the Sterzing/Vipiteno exit, then drive 16 km up the road to Ridnaun, Maiern 48. Free car and coach parking is available by the Museum entrance area.
Rail/bus: Take the train to Sterzing/Vipiteno then, from the Sterzing station or Nordpark, take bus no. 312 to Ridnaun. Get off at the last stop (Bergbaumuseum) by the Museum car park.
Plane: The nearest airports are Innsbruck (70 km) and Verona ( 230 km).
Bike: From Sterzing take the main road 16 km up to the end of the Ridnauntal Valley in Maiern.
