Safety protocol

Currently, the following safety protocol is applied:

Booking is obligatory and all entries require a reservation.
Body temperature is measured daily before entry.
Wearing a mask to protect both mouth and nose is mandatory except during your stay in the Climate gallery (while seated). 
Keep a distance of one metre between you and people who don't live in your same household.
We aim to ensure the greatest possible air hygiene and access to the Climate gallery is therefore only permitted to guests wearing slippers. These are provided by the museum or visitors can bring along their own.
Camping mats, blankets, slippers and hot water bottles can be stored in the assigned lockers by each individual as personal equipment from the first to the last day of their visit.
Entry is not permitted to persons with symptoms of a cold, such as runny nose, cough, sore throat or high temperature (fever).
There are no breathing exercises. 
No tea will be served during your stay. Participants may bring their own thermos flasks to drink. 

General information

Clothing: Warm clothes and sturdy footwear are required. Helmets and raincoats for the entry into the gallery are provided by the museum.
Barrier-free Access: The external area and the Climate gallery are barrier-free. Wheelchairs are available if required that will permit access to the Climate gallery.
Dogs in the museum: Dogs are permitted in the outdoor area but are not permitted in the galleries..
Eating & drinking: The Restaurant Ignazstube in the Museum area is open during the Museum season. You are welcome to visit even if not visiting the Museum

Getting here

Rail/bus: Take the train to Bruneck/Brunico then, from Bruneck/Brunico railway or bus station take bus no. 450 for the Ahrntal Valley to Prettau. Get off at the second to last stop (Bergwerk) by the Museum car park. Connections every 30 minutes
Bike: From Bruneck take the cycle way to Sand in Taufers, then follow the SS621 to Prettau.
By car: From the A22 autobahn take the Brixen/Bressanone exit, then follow the E66 towards Bruneck/Brunico, exit at Bruneck/Brunico North and from there take the SS621 towards Ahrntal/Valle Aurina to Prettau, Hörmanngasse 38/A. Free car and coach parking is available by the Museum entrance area.
Plane: The nearest airports are Innsbruck (140 km) and Verona (260 km).
